Lovely, clean and cosy house. Super comfortable beds, well equipment kitchen. Beautiful surroundings and lots to do in Harlech. The road is very steep, but we didn't mind it. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage, within walking distance of local attractions and shops. Garden has beautiful views of the castle and beach. Very grateful for the parking permit as the street was a little narrow for our car.. would definitely stay there again

A brilliant week in a great house. From the front door is portably the best sunset you'll see, over looking the Castle. Views from both bedroom windows are exquisite too

We immediately felt at home in this wonderful house. We had breakfast in the charming garden and enjoyed the beautiful sea views. A 20-minute walk through a stunning dune landscape takes you to the sandy beach - one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, in my opinion. We had two fantastic days in Harlech. The town also has some lovely little shops offering a wonderful selection of products by Welsh artists.

We had a wonderful five-day family stay at Vicky's place. The accommodation is pleasant, comfortable, and very well-equipped, with a sea view. Communication with Vicky was always very easy; she is warm and responsive. Harlech is a lovely little town with a few shops for essentials. We recommend taking the second footpath above the house to enjoy the magnificent view and walks amidst the sheep and cows.

The cottage is very charming, well supplied, and well located. We were there during summer and could even have some meals outside enjoying the castle and sea view. Vicky is a great host. Great place to stay and use as a base to visit the beautiful surroundings of north wales.

Lovely house, clean with great amenities. Lovely see view from garden and plenty of space. Would go again. Also beautiful area!!

Katie 21/07/2026 5

We had a wonderful stay and everything was perfect! Harlech and surrounding areas are beautiful. Highly recommend!

Thurza 15/07/2026 5

One of the cleanest, most well equipped Airbnb we stayed in for years. It's very hard to fault anything (apart from the hill to the cottage), we were warned. Not many places to park but the long stay carpark via the footpath is not too far away and a lovely work.

We had such a lovely time in Harlech. Fron Hyfryd is in great location high up in the village with views at the sea and the castle. Really appreciated the parking permit that came with the house, so we didn't need to worry about where to park. There is a nice deli with baked goods right by the house which was great for getting fresh pastries in the morning. The house is very cosy in quiet neighbourhood and really well equipped. We had fab time hiking in the hills and at the beach with our dog Chase. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely few days in Vicky's property. Everything was perfect, the accommodation and area. Being situated in a central part of Harlech we were able to visit other parts of Wales we hadn't seen before. My son enjoys cycling and he was able to do some challenging rides! Would definitely recommend this property.

Lin 28/06/2026 4

I found Vicky and her husband extremely helpful. The house was cosy and in a good position for exploring the area.

John 24/06/2026 5

Lovely cottage and secluded garden. We had a lovely stay and local people very friendly. Old Harlech is very hilly so may not be suitable for the less mobile.

Fred 22/06/2026 5

Fantastic place!!

David 14/06/2026 5

Vicky is a great communicator, instructions were spot on. Her attention to detail was impressive. The house is ideally placed for exploring the stunning Welsh coast, the town and the mountains. The house has every thing you need for a very comfortable 48 hours.

Miriam 12/06/2026 5

Our stay was made special not only because the accommodation was extremely comfortable and had everything we may need but also because of all the little details Vicky had left for us to enjoy our stay especially on arrival. Vicky’s communication prior our arrival was excellent and beyond, and the house was an ideal place from where to explore the area. There was a good and varied collection of dvd to watch in the house, and when it was sunny it was ideal to sit in the back garden and soak in the sun. In that back garden, is where I watched on our last night, the most beautiful reddish sun setting over Snowdonia. That moment was pure magic. We'll definitely be back if we are around this area. Thank you again Vicky for making our stay special and relaxing in more than one way.

great space and great value for money. excellent location and had all the essentials, plus a nice welcome hamper filled with great locally produced extras. would highly recommend a stay here.

Chris 05/06/2026 5

This is a lovely property; in a fairly quiet area, clean, very homely and filled with lots of nice touches.

George 30/05/2026 5

Such a lovely location. Stay was an excellent terrace house in great condition and a lovely village. Very clear communication from hosts and lovely welcome pack. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Naomi 25/05/2026 5

We had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was great and made it easy to explore the area. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything really straightforward from check-in to check-out. We felt very relaxed during our stay and would happily return in the future. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Dan and Rebecca 23/05/2026 5

wonderful stay! bigger than you'd think from the pictures, fab location and very well equipped.

Will 04/05/2026 5

Lovely stay, and welcoming hosts. Would definitely come back again.

Sam 18/04/2026 5

A comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean, and well equipped cottage in the centre of the village of Harlech. We would gladly stay again.

Glenn 02/04/2026 5

The house is amazing. Vicky has really worked hard on the personal touches. The kitchen had everything you need the settee is extremely comfortable and my son loved the mini Chaise longue. One thing that we loved was the extension cables positioned under all the beds with 2 under the main bedroom bed for charging phones. One thing I would highlight is the location, it's beautiful but the house is on a very steep hill. We had no issues but we are very fit and able. But I did think that if my father in law booked there he wouldn't be able to leave if he got in there. So bare this in mind if you have mobility issues. But if you don't it's a great house in spectacular location with everything a family would need for a long stay.

Thank you. Your points about accessibility are noted. We have made it clearer in the listing that the cottage may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. Harlech is a hilly place!

Jordan 29/03/2026 5

Excellent cottage located in central Harlech. Very prompt and responsive host, would highly recommend. Just be warned how hilly Harlech is :)

Harvey 22/03/2026 5

Great stay and amazing location. Vicky was very helpful and definitely will stay again

Kirsty 13/03/2026 5

Just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful week here in the Harlech cottage. We have had a wonderful week. The cottage is lovely. Thank you so much for all the extra bits in the cottage that make a difference, the logs and all the bits in the kitchen.
This is probably the best equipped cottage we've stayed in.
Thank you. Very much appreciated
Hope to be back.

Prisacaru 01/03/2026 5

Had a fabulous couple of days over the New Year. The cottage was perfect for us and our two dogs, with log open fire just what we needed after some long walks. Beautiful area, a walk downhill to the beach and the mountains not far away. If you're coming at New Year be prepared for the fact that places in the village may be closed and eating out difficult. Also, although the Lion pub is only a 15 second walk down the hill, they don't serve food. But it's a lovely pub.

Leanne

Our stay at the cottage was amazing, we would definitely recommend to other families. Its a very spacious, cosy cottage, with everything you need in the kitchen to cook a meal and we had a generous welcome package waiting for us, thank you. Outside is a beautiful view of Harlech castle and the sea, there's also sea views from the bedrooms. We experienced a sunset view of the castle, it was magical. Do be careful of the steep road to the cottage, my car didn't cope well with it so we parked at the long stay car park and used the permit provided. You can walk to the beach but it took us around 25 mins, and theres a steep road to walk down and back up again on return. However, its well worth it as Harlech beach is quiet and sandy, with lovely views and it allows dogs. There's a nice chippy, indian takeaway and grocery store right on your doorstep, great location.

Just spend a beautiful week in this lovely Harlech cottage. It was tidy, clean and well stocked, having condiments in the kitchen was a bonus. There is a lot of space to store stuff, and the welcome pack was such a thoughtful gesture. The beds were comfortable and bathroom modern with a good shower. Sunsets over the castle from the garden were spectacular!
We frequented the Lion Inn down the road, and Y Groser deli and cafe was our favourite place to shop - the bread was so good. I also recommend Bean and Blwm, near the castle, for tasty lunch and awesomely good pizzas in the evening.
Harlech is a beautiful and friendly place from which to explore all that North Wales has to offer. We loved walking down and along the beach with its mountain backdrop with our dog. I cannot wait to revisit and would stay in this property again.

Louis

Ideal place to spend a few days to explore the local area. Very central just off the heigh street of Harlech. As the information says it is on a very steep hill but only a short walk from the main shops with a pub a few doors down. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and was clean and tidy. The info does say parking can be outside on a first come basis but we didn't find this as residents put out cones to stop people parking. A parking permit was provided that allowed parking at a nearby long stay car park and parking in other local parking areas. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. I would say of Harlech itself that it's very much set up for day time and long weekend visitors. The pub is closed Monday and Tuesday and most food places apart from the Indian restaurant are closed from 5. The dogs loved the beach.

What a wonderful stay we have just had at Fron-Hyfryd. The house had everything we needed. It was comfortable and well equipped. I love that there were condiments supplied, such a game changer.
I agree with a previous review , that the garden needed a mow but the views from there to the castle and sunset beyond were spectacular.
The house is on a really steep hill so beware! We managed to get parking on the road outside each day but there are alternatives nearby.
The house is in a perfect spot, 1 minute walk to The Lion Inn (great craft beer) and Y Grocer Harlech which is a wonderful deli and grocer. The fresh bread is delicious.
Harlech Castle is 2 minutes walk away. Well worth a visit. Also nearby are the Castle Cottage Inn where we had a wonderful dinner.
The owner's and Dioni's communication was excellent. Wonderful property and holiday.

We have just spent a fabulous 3 days in beautiful Harlech. The cottage is in an ideal location to enjoy all that Harlech and the surrounding area has to offer. Situated a few meters from a fabulous Indian restaurant and lovely bar, we couldn't have been happier. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Really comfortable bed and a modern bathroom and kitchen. My only complaint would be that the grass in the garden was very overgrown, and it made it difficult to sit out and enjoy the fabulous view. We would highly recommend a stay at the cottage and hope to return one day.

Heather

Lovely, homely, comfortable, spotlessly clean cottage close to amenities. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here.
